Run Windows on Apple

You can run Windows on your MacBook and transfer it into a completely different desktop environment.

You can navigate to the Applications folder on Mac and then to the utility folder for running the same.

You would see a program known as Boot camp. Then it will partition your hard drive. The best part is that you can even choose the ratio. Remember that storage in one OS is not accessible by the other part. So click on the partition after assessing the files you need to handle in one partition.

You would be asked for a Windows installation CD when you will restart the MacBook. You will need to get one if you don’t own one already.

Choose the partitioned section of the hard drive when it asks for installation. Once you do all the necessary things, your Mac will boot into Windows! How awesome is that! The next time, you can choose which OS to open by holding down the option key.

Take a full-page screen capture

Often, we need to take a screenshot of an entire page. Whether you want to upload online or on social media platforms, you have to make sure you do it the right way. There are several ways of doing it, of which we would be talking about one that is quite handy. The first thing you need to do is open the web page, launch Capto, and click on the Capto option on the menu.

Rename large batches of files simultaneously 

How cool is it to be able to name large batches of files all at once? Well, it is possible on MacBook. Otherwise, it could be so boring and tedious, right? You can now bid goodbye to all the manual work if you have the version OS X – Yosemite and above.

The first thing you need to do is select the files you want to rename and then right-click on them. You can then rename them as you want! Make sure you choose the right texts so that you can find the files easily.

Take a screenshot of a particular part of the screen

If you want to take a screenshot of a certain part of the screen, all you need to do is Cmd + Shift + 4. You can capture any part of the screen that you want with this hack. It could be for work purposes or just for something else. The image would automatically be saved on the desktop once you release it.

Add signature to documents

To add a signature to documents, open the document within the preview app. Of course, you might already know the pain of adding a signature to documents on a MacBook. But, don’t worry; we have come up with some unique solutions to almost every problem.

After you have opened the document, click the pen icon near the top right-hand corner of the screen. Then, choose to create a signature from Built-in iSight. iSight is MacBook’s built-in Webcam that will be used to capture the signature. 

Sign your name on white paper and hold it up against the camera. Follow the guidelines and allow the camera to extract it seamlessly. Finally, click on accept for saving the file.

Startup your Mac silently
